For a long time already I want the area between Zerbst and Wittenberg, explore, due to bad weather, especially on weekends, I've always postponed. In a television review of the MDR where several castles, castle ruins and castles were presented that were unknown to me until the Burg Rabenstein .

Conclusion: It was a nice tour ( route on bikemap.net ) largely empty streets, I've taken their time and seen much news. The R1 north of Wittenberg is a joke and should be declared as a test track for mountain bikers.

Easter 2010 - Liege cycling Good Friday

time for Easter is a message on the mailing list of Berlin recumbent ( here can log on), Andreas S. wants on Easter weekend, a trip from North Station to Pichelsberg make a loop along the Havel River and invites passengers. Only the Easter Saturday is suggested as the date, but since I am for 1 week to go hiking in the Czech Republic, too bad! Fortunately, the other matches, Good Friday and the weather that day just made for a spring trip.

So I start Friday at 10 clock, on empty roads and trails I ride comfortably towards North Station.

Once there, I marvel not bad, instead of the suspected 8-10 folks is a real crowd there, and during the tour, the number increases to 21 then an upright and recumbent riders.

In the above picture shows two Speedmachine drivers with UDC (the knee) - Handlebars. A track of the UDC's been a while, the other has only grown him straight. Both seem to be very satisfied with their choice.

My friend Harald, whom I met on the road bike for touring with the road bike and a recumbent riders group pulls away from Berlin for professional reasons. Too bad.
